CIE’s on-demand courses address specific aspects of the modern State of Israel. We currently have the following:
- How Did the Zionists Create the State of Israel?
- How Anti-Zionism Is Antisemitism
- Israel’s Democratic Origins and Its Pluralistic Political System
- Origins of the Arab-Israeli Conflict, Pre-State to 1973
- Arab-Israeli Conflict: Quest for Normalization, 1973-Present
- Israeli Identity and Society Through Music and Pop Culture
You must pay a one-time fee for personal access to a course, with special pricing available for buying multiple courses. We also have discounts for bulk purchases of multiple copies of a course for use by a group learning together, such as an adult education class or a group preparing for a mission trip to Israel.
Once you buy a course, you may access it as many times as you would like for as long as you would like. A few important points:
- Although the courses can be used any time, they are not downloadable. You must be online to use them.
- You must be logged into your free CIE website account to access any course you have bought. If you don’t have a CIE account, you will be prompted to create one as part of your initial purchase.
- You may not share access to a course you bought with anyone else. All people using the on-demand course must have their own copies, which we have priced to be affordable.
- You can buy courses as gifts for others and share them in that way. Each purchase is tied to the recipient’s email address. Click here for details.
- Some users have experienced issues in accessing the courses using Firefox, so we recommend using another browser.
After you purchase a course, you will receive an email with a link and directions on accessing it. You also can find any courses you have purchased on your My Account page when logged into the CIE site, where they are a click away.
The courses are easy to use and intuitive. You click and scroll through text, photos, graphics and videos. Knowledge checks are available along the way to ensure you’re absorbing the key points.
You’ll also find links to free, additional resources on specific topics. We invite you to experience the courses as starting points to further learning and deeper understanding.
If you run into any technical problems, please contact Michael Jacobs at michael@israeled.org. If you have questions or feedback about the content of courses, please share with Rhonda Povlot at rhonda.povlot@israeled.org.
