Meir Shalev, a well-known Israeli author and journalist, publishes numerous, famous children’s books, novels and collections of short stories. These titles include, “The Blue Mountain,” “Esau,” “A Pigeon and a Boy,” and “Michael and the Monster of Jerusalem.” In 2006, he is awarded the prestigious Brenner Prize for literary excellence.
