One of the keys to understanding Israel’s election process is recognizing the elements of the country’s electoral and political systems. Although both democracies, Israel and the United States have very different political structures.
In this activity, designed for middle school through adults, learners will research some of the differences between the two systems in an effort to enhance their knowledge about Israeli politics.
The activity includes a chart detailing the differences in the two systems as well as additional discussion questions for a teacher or facilitator to use.
Note for educators/facilitators: Before having students complete the activity, you may want to show them the video, How Israel Votes.
