Named one of CNN’s “10 Most Powerful Women in Tech” in 2010, Fassberg was an immigrant from South Africa who rose to become CEO of Intel Israel and retired in 2016. She advocated diversity in the workplace and encouraged women to take more senior roles. She taught high school chemistry and physics after earning a master’s in applied chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
