Mirna Singsit, the 2000th Indian Jew to make aliyah, arrives in Israel with 53 other Bnei Menashe community members from India. The Benei Menashe claim to be part of the lost tribes of Israel, exiled from the holy land by the Assyrians in 720 B.C.E.
