The shock and horror of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack shook Israelis to their core. Since then, ongoing revelations about Oct. 7 and what hostages suffered, fear for the remaining hostages, military losses, battles in the International Court of Justice and global court of public opinion, political discontent at home, and the disruptions to daily life have tested the resilience of Israelis as individuals and as a society. CIE’s 15th weekly webinar on the Israel-Hamas war examines how the Israeli homefront has been affected and responded. Our panelists are Dr. Jonathan Rynhold of Bar-Ilan University and Dr. Meir Elran of the Institute for National Security Studies. Ken Stein, CIE’s president and an Emory University emeritus professor of Middle East history and political science, moderates the discussion Jan. 24.
