Israel’s most successful tennis player, Pe’er won five singles and three doubles titles on the Women’s Tennis Association tour. Her highest world ranking was No. 11 in 2011. She reached the singles quarterfinals of two Grand Slam tournaments. The United Arab Emirates barred her from the Dubai Championship in 2009, but WTA support helped her play in Dubai in subsequent years. She retired in 2017.
