Two members of the terrorist group, the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), attack a New York bound El Al jetliner preparing for takeoff in Athens, Greece. One passenger is killed, with two others injured. Greek police immediately take the two assailants into custody. Over the next several years, the PFLP will hijack additional airliners, in so doing they will separate out Jewish passengers, a clear case of selection, bringing back memories of selection done by the Germans in WWII.
