Current programs offered by CIE
The CIE one-week workshop offers educators a comprehensive understanding of modern Israel and provides a wide array of tools for curriculum development and teaching for diverse settings and audiences.
The CIE/ISMI Teen Israel Leadership Institute (April 13 – 15, 2018) will enhance participants’ Israel knowledge and provide them with valuable skills for sharing that knowledge with others.
CIE’s new project aimed at helping Jewish day schools enhance the way that Israel is taught and learned through professional development seminars, mentoring and curricular resources.
Israel Direct Education and Learning is the new online learning program offered by Center for Israel Education. Offered through Teachable, participants can enroll and learn at their own pace.
CIE’s new project is working with Jewish summer camps to provide Israel education for staff and guidance on effective Israel programming during the summer.
In addition to our annual one-work workshop, CIE professionals are available for specialized community or institutional programming. Our workshops are held in conjunction with local communal, school, congregational, and educational organizations and can be tailored to meet your individual needs in teaching Israel. Workshops can be delivered in person or via videoconference.
CIE offers a wide variety of engaging and interactive Israel seminars for youth and teens. These programs provide participants with insight, knowledge and context about Israel’s history, politics and/or culture and can be custom designed to meet the needs of your institution or special event.
Past CIE programs
Two separate cohorts of outstanding educators spent a year learning with CIE to sharpen their knowledge of Israel and Zionism and explore techniques for teaching. Participants took part in in-person seminars and online learning. Each developed and field tested a project with a group of students.
PRIDE: Program in Rabbinic Israel Development and Enrichment
A series of workshops held in different North American communities designed to enhance members of the clergy’s knowledge of the history, politics, society, and international relations relevant to modern Israel. The seminars were specially designed for the unique application of resources by clergy: for pulpit use, as they teach, write items for publication, and lead workshops and seminars for local peers related to Israel topics.
