Israeli Kadima leader Shaul Mofaz joins his 28 Knesset members to Netanyahu’s government, making it one of the broadest Israeli coalition governments in Israel’s sixty-four year history and forestalling predicted elections. Nine weeks later, Kadima leaves the coalition. Its political demise comes in the January 2013 elections where it gains only two seats in the 19th Knesset.
