With their expanding student body and growing number of programs, the Hebrew University is granted land in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Givat Ram, an area adjacent to the Knesset and other government buildings. The Givat Ram campus slowly is eclipsed after the June 1967 War, when the original Mount Scopus campus of the university is rebuilt. The Givat Ram campus remains home to the Einstein Institute of Mathematics, the National Library of Israel, the Israel Institute of Advanced Studies, and other important university units.
