King Hussein, angered by the belligerent conduct of Palestinian guerilla groups in Jordan, has his military expel Yasser Arafat and the PLO from Jordan. Known as “Black September,” the PLO is forced to reorganize and move their central base of operations to Lebanon, where they stay until driven out by Israel in 1982. There, they move to Tunis.
