In a historic visit, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met for the first time with UAE’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. Since their mutual recognition agreements signed in September 2020, their meeting reaffirmed their common national strategic and economic interests, particularly as Iran, a common threat was creeping closer to having active nuclear weapon capabilities. It remains unclear what role western powers and particularly the United States might have in joining collaboratively with Israel and the UAE in confronting the Iranian threat.
