Amoz Oz, an Israeli author, journalist and professor, born Amos Klausner, writed “My Michael,” “The Black Box,” “Where the Jackals Howl,” and books of short stories. His novels display a passion for Israeli life. An outspoken advocate for a two state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict since 1967, he writes frequently about the pros and cons of the Israeli government’s political and military policies. His work earns him the prestigious Israel Prize in 1998. Oz dies December 28, 2018 in Tel Aviv.
