Kirel is a pop star and actress of Mizrahi and Ashkenazi ancestry who is Israel’s 2023 Eurovision contestant. She released her first songs at 14. She won the MTV Europe Music Award for best Israeli act every year from 2017 to 2020. She has starred in movies and TV shows and been a judge on “Israel’s Got Talent.” Though born with one kidney, she served in the military from 2020 to 2022. She is releasing English-language music through Atlantic Records.
